Here is a list of commonly asked questions we get from clients, this may answer a lot of your concerning questions around renovating your home. If you don’t find your answer here, feel free to get in touch with our team and they’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.
How do I prepare for a kitchen renovation?
To get on your way to getting your new dream kitchen, start by gathering together ideas, designs, and your own thoughts to a new kitchen scrapbook. This might be a physical book with written, printed and cut out ideas. Importantly also make a list of the appliances that you are intending to build into your new kitchen. Model numbers are usually enough to find the accurate dimensions online. Your new kitchen cabinets will need to be able to accommodate these whether they are new or recycled from your current kitchen. When it comes to designing your kitchen, we’ll need the measurements of your new appliances so we can build around this.
What happens if we’re not happy with something during construction or afterwards?
Our previous customers often comment that we are always more than happy to deal with any issues and concerns as they arise. Nothing will stand in our way of obtaining your complete satisfaction. We also have in place a 12 month maintenance agreement with our clients for their peace of mind.
Do I have to organise sub contract specialist trades such as plumbers or electricians?
We have all trades covered. Grade A Developments have a network of trusted and well respected team of trades who understand our system, follow up process and can work effectively with the rest of our team to ensure a smooth renovation project. So you’re just engaging us (not multiple companies) to complete the whole job from start to finish.
Will I have a choice of fixtures and fittings and can I supply them myself?
Absolutely – if you would like to purchase anything directly and provide it for installation at the appropriate time then we have no objections to this but we always suggest clients to choose our suppliers for a number of reasons, we’re confident of the quality, we can manage the logistics, trade prices, and any troubleshooting during the renovation is easier since we can direct contact.
I have a limited budget – do you only do high end renovation projects?
No we cater for all tastes and budgets. We have a standard 3 option range (Budget, Mid and Luxury) for kitchens and bathrooms as well as offering tailor made packages to suit your personal requirements.
All the builders I’ve spoken to say they can do my Job. What makes Grade A Developments different?
Yes, there are many builders out there today, but Grade A Developments are not just builders. We specialise in Home Renovations, and that is important when transforming existing properties into modern contemporary homes – our service isn’t limited to renovation but we also take care of the design process, consultation process with architects, consents and supplier communication/logistics.
I want to renovate my bathroom and kitchen, what do I do next?
Get in touch with a renovation company for a consultation to discuss your renovation idea, they’ll be able to do a feasibility study and give you an idea of what can be done with your given requirements. This will give you some options and an estimated cost for a bathroom renovation and kitchen renovation to see if your requirements are within your budget. Along with this consultation, some companies like Grade A Developments can also offer free design plans so you can envision what the finished renovation looks like before you commit.
